The questions an owner asks in the morning are usually the same: What did we sell yesterday? How much cash do we have? Who owes us, and whom do we owe? Which order is late? The answers exist in the company, but in four different systems, on three people's computers and partly in the accountant's head.
The result: the owner either calls people every morning or looks at a monthly report that took days to prepare. Both are late information.
One hub: every system in one data layer
The owner dashboard is not new software. It is a layer built on top of the systems you already have, and it does not disturb how you work today:
- Integration: ERP, accounting software, CRM, bank accounts, e-commerce sites and marketplaces, production or stock systems.
- One data layer: Data from different systems is combined in one secure database, so the same customer is the same customer everywhere.
- Fresh data: Data is pulled automatically. Nobody copies and pastes into Excel.
The owner's language: few numbers, a lot of meaning
Most corporate reporting tools produce screens full of hundreds of charts. For an owner, that is noise, not information. We start the design with one question: "What are the five most important numbers in this company?"
- The key numbers: A few figures specific to your company, such as revenue, cash, receivables, payables and stock, large and clear.
- Plain indicators: No jargon. "Up or down compared with last week?" is answered at a glance.
- Automatic alerts: You are told when a customer's payment is overdue, stock drops to a critical level or sales fall below plan.
When you look at a good dashboard, you do not ask questions. You make decisions.
Access from anywhere
Owners are not always at their desks, so the dashboard works in three places:
- Web: For detailed review in the meeting room or at the computer.
- Mobile app: On the road, on site, abroad. Same data, designed for the phone.
- Daily summary: Every morning at the time you choose, a short summary of the numbers that matter.
Permissions and security
Each user sees only the data they are allowed to see. The owner sees the whole company, a regional manager sees their region, a sales rep sees their own customers. All access is logged.
How we start
The first step is to list your systems and agree which numbers really matter. We usually do this during the AI Readiness Assessment. Then we connect the two or three most important systems, release a first version quickly and add the rest step by step.
